The object of research is the problem of social philosophy – social content of peasant life in post-reform Russia, reflected in the literary, social, political attitudes of N.K. Mikhaylovsky – representative of the people’s democracy movement in Russia. Consequently, the subjects of study are its literary, social, economic, legal opinions, analyzed by aesthetic methodology that enables to achieve a vivid display of peasant’s social life in Russia. The problem of aesthetic development, improvement and harmonization of human life and society is relevant at all times.
